If you happen to travel in the North of Catalonia, make sure to pop by in Empuriabrava, the town of channels. If you check it in Google Maps, you will see that this place has as many channels as streets ๐ It seems also that it has as many boats as cars ๐
If you don’t own a boat, it’s ok. You can always take a touristic boat ride, or stroll along the main street and the biggest channel, watching the houses by the water, the boats with a mountain backdrop – and dream about spending a summer here … or about whatever you want to dream of :))

We did a stroll like this, and here is what we saw along the way. There were many places called Marina that or Marina this, which always makes me feel at home, seeing my name so often ๐ The sea is calling and it is calling me by its name. Hope, you can hear its call too!

And may you walk in beauty!
What a lovely place – noted!

So true. Especially after the noise and chaos of a big city :))

Love it! I didn’t know this town existed! It reminds me a bit of Puerto Banus in Mรกlaga… but I guess this one is not as crowded and busy

It is not that popular, thanks God! I didn’t enjoy Buerto Banus exactly because of that: crowds, all those guys trying to sell you a fake LV even if you are sitting down for a coffee. This is a hidden jewel, and may it remain so ๐ Not so glamorous, but peaceful and a bit fancy too :))

This is the first time I have heard of this town. Is it a very small place?

Yes, it is a tiny place. Which makes it into a hidden gem ๐

Plenty of marinas around here too. ๐ I thought that marina means there must be a little port – since this is what it means in Slovenia – but here it can only mean the seaside part of town. Greetings to Catalonia!

Oh, I remember first going to Italy, with my German guest family when I was just 22. It was such a joy looking at the map and seeing lots of marinas. That made me feel so welcome :))
Greetings to Italy!
